💡 TIP FOR BEGINNERS: Start with Chocolate!

Chocolate vegan cakes tend to be much more forgiving and easier to make than vanilla versions. That's why you'll find so many vegan chocolate cake recipes, including the famous "Crazy Cake" or "Wacky Cake" that's been around for decades.

And there's a scientific reason for that!

Cocoa powder does some of the heavy lifting when it comes to cake structure. It contributes starch, fiber, and even some protein, all of which help support the cake crumb.

On top of that, chocolate cake textures are incredibly forgiving. Slightly underbaked? You might get a deliciously fudgy texture! A little overbaked? Chocolate cakes often contain generous amounts of fat, which helps keep them tender and moist.

Plus, let's face it—chocolate lovers are usually pretty happy to receive anything chocolate you bake! 😂
